Harry Brook Pulls Out of IPL 2025

England's middle-order batter Harry Brook has pulled out of the Indian Premier League 2025, citing the need to prepare for his commitments with the national team.

Reason for Withdrawal

Brook was bought by Delhi Capitals for INR 6.25 Crore in the mega auction in November. He has previously pulled out of the IPL due to bereavement and has featured in only one IPL season so far – in 2023 with Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Consequences of Withdrawal

According to a new rule introduced by the IPL, any player who registers in the player auction and makes themselves unavailable before the start of the season will get banned from participating in the tournament and player auction for 2 Seasons. Brook risks facing a ban from the competition.
