Varma muscled Dottin for six, and Jonassen clinched three boundaries off Gardner as the Capitals ended on 46/1 after the PowerPlay.
Jonassen and Varma continued to muscle the ball to the fence, bringing the equation down to 39 runs with more than 10 overs to spare. Jonassen brought up her 50 in just 26 balls. The Capitals won the match by six wickets, taking them to the top of the WPL table.
