Bangladesh Skipper Najmul Hossain: "We Believe We Can Beat Any Team" in Champions Trophy

Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain has expressed his team's confidence in their ability to beat any team in the Champions Trophy, citing their balanced squad and strong pace attack. Speaking ahead of their match against India on Thursday, Najmul emphasized the importance of a winning start and executing their plans to achieve success.

"We believe we can beat any team in this tournament. All teams are capable of winning this trophy, but I'm not thinking about the opponents much. If we execute our plan properly, we can beat any team on any day," Najmul said.

The Bangladesh skipper praised the team's pace attack, which includes Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Shakib, and young sensation Nahid Rana. He highlighted Rana's potential, saying, "I think he is a special talent. He bowled really well in the last few matches and bowled fast. And when we see him bowling like this, it helps our whole bowling unit."

Najmul also expressed confidence in the team's opening batsmen, Tanzid Hasan and Soumya Sarkar, who have been in good form recently. He believes they will carry the right frame of mind into the tournament.

Bangladesh will look to turn their fortunes around in the Champions Trophy, having won only 4 out of 12 matches since the 2023 World Cup. They will face India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, seeking to break their duck against the Indian team in ICC events.
