Sairaj Bahutule Set to Join RR as Spin Bowling Coach
Sairaj Bahutule is poised to rejoin the Rajasthan Royals team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He will take up the role of spin bowling coach and is expected to be seen in the dugout from this season. Bahutule had previously worked for the Royals between 2018-21 before joining the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
Bahutule will collaborate with bowling coach Shane Bond and head coach Rahul Dravid, with whom he had previously worked when Dravid was in charge of the Indian team. The discussions are ongoing, and Bahutule is close to finalizing his involvement with the franchise.
Bahutule, 52, will work with the Royals bowlers throughout the year, including Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Sandeep Sharma, Akash Madhwal, and Fazalhaq Farooqi, as well as Sri Lankan spinners Maheesh Teekshana, Kumar Kartikeya, and Wanindu Hasaranga.
RR in Hundred Fray
There is growing speculation that Manoj Badale, the lead owner of the Rajasthan Royals, may re-enter the fray in The Hundred and bid for the Trent Rockets team. The Nottingham-based team is set to go on sale on Monday, and Badale is believed to be interested in having a side in the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB)-run 100-ball tournament.
