Goa Clinches Ranji Trophy Plate Group Final

Goa defeated Nagaland by 362 runs in the Ranji Trophy Plate group final in Dimapur. The match saw a thrilling contest with both teams showing impressive performances.

Goa's Second Innings

Snehal Kauthankar's unbeaten 202 and Kashyap Bakhale's 161 in a 278-run partnership were the highlights of Goa's second innings. This partnership turned the match in Goa's favor.

Nagaland's Collapse

Nagaland's collapse was triggered by Heramb Parab's five-wicket haul. The hosts were reduced from 159 for 3 to 216, giving Goa a decent lead of 60 runs.

Kauthankar and Bakhale's Partnership

Kauthankar and Bakhale's massive partnership lasted almost 88 overs and added further misery to Nagaland. Darshan Misal then chipped in with 67 to seal the win for Goa.

Nagaland's Second Innings

Set a steep 578 to win, Nagaland began with a 50-run opening stand but were soon reduced to 82 for 5. Goa's skipper Darshan Misal broke through the batting order of Nagaland, and the team was eventually skittled out for 215.
