Rishi Dhawan Announces Retirement from Indian Limited-Overs Cricket

Rishi Dhawan, a 34-year-old allrounder, has announced his retirement from Indian limited-overs cricket. This decision comes after Himachal Pradesh's elimination from the Vijay Hazare Trophy's group stage.

International Career

Dhawan has represented India four times at the international level, all in 2016. He has also played for Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, and Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.

Retirement Statement

"It's with a heavy heart, even though I have no regrets, that I'd like to announce my retirement from Indian cricket (Limited over). It's a sport that has defined my life for the past 20 years. This game has given me immeasurable joy and countless memories that would always stay very close to my heart."

Future Plans

Dhawan will continue to play for Himachal Pradesh in the remainder of the Ranji season, as he has not retired from first-class cricket. He expressed excitement and anticipation for the next chapter of his life, citing the skills and values instilled in him by cricket as a guide for his future endeavors.
