India's stand-in skipper and the best bowler of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, Jasprit Bumrah, expressed frustration at missing out on bowling in the just-concluded Sydney Test where India lost by six wickets to surrender the famed trophy for the first time in 10 years.

Bumrah left the SCG with an injury concern and couldn't bowl for the rest of the fixture due to a back spasm. The visitors missed him dearly in the second innings, where they lost their remaining four wickets inside the first hour of Day 3, with a small total of 162 to defend.
