India Seals Series with Thrilling Win

India secured a 115-run victory over West Indies in the second one-dayer, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Harleen Deol's maiden ODI ton was the highlight of the match, as India posted a massive 358/5 in 50 overs.

India's Innings

India made a strong start to the innings, with Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal putting on a 110-run stand in 99 balls. Mandhana made a brisk start, pulling the second ball of the innings over mid wicket for a boundary. Rawal got going a couple of overs later, cracking a drive through extra cover against Deandra Dottin.

However, India's scoring rate dropped significantly after Rawal's dismissal, and the boundaries dried up. Deol, who was struggling to keep up with the scoring rate early on, was even dropped on 19 by Dottin at square leg. She eventually picked up pace with three boundaries in quick succession, helping India amass 109 runs in the last 10 overs.

West Indies' Innings

Hayley Matthews's seventh ODI century went in vain as West Indies were bowled out for 243 in 46.2 overs. Matthews managed to put up a fight in the run-chase, but she didn't find ample support from the other end. The visitors were reduced to 69 for 4 within the first 16 overs, with Qiana Joseph, Nerissa Crafton, Rashada Williams and Dottin sent back to the pavilion.

Matthews and Shemaine Campbelle stitched a 112-run stand, but once Sadhu had Campbelle caught at extra cover, West Indies' innings came apart. Matthews brought up her century soon after, but India chipped in with wickets, eventually bowling out West Indies for 243.
