Excited to face Bumrah: Konstas

Sam Konstas, Australia's latest Test addition, is looking forward to the challenge of facing Jasprit Bumrah in the upcoming Boxing Day Test at MCG, should he get selected. Konstas was brought into the squad in place of Nathan McSweeney.

Despite his eagerness, Konstas plans to not watch too much footage of Bumrah. He has confidence in his skills, having scored runs recently in the Sheffield Shield. Konstas described the opportunity as "just another game", but acknowledged the honor of potentially receiving his baggy green.

The Konstas household celebrated the announcement of his inclusion in the squad, with his mother expressing emotion. Konstas expressed gratitude for his family's sacrifices throughout his journey.

Konstas was in competition with McSweeney for a spot in the starting lineup before the series began. He had runs for Australia A in the lead-up to the senior team's series. McSweeney was preferred initially, but with no big scores in three Tests, the selectors made a change.

Bumrah has been dominant this series, averaging 10.90 with 21 wickets in three Tests. He has taken 10 wickets of Australia's top-three batters. Mitchell Marsh is the only batter in Australia's top-six not dismissed by Bumrah this series.
