Collecitve bowling performance puts NZ in command

New Zealand bowled out England for 143 before adding 136 runs for three wickets in their second innings on Day 2 in Hamilton. Will Young (60) and Kane Williamson (50*) added to England's frustration. The hosts currently lead by 340 runs.

Matt Henry took a four-wicket haul and Mitchell Santner and William O'Rourke took three wickets each.

Santner and O'Rourke added 32 runs before Potts dismissed Santner. England eventually folded for 347.

Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley put on 32 runs for the opening partnership, the highest in the series. Henry dismissed both Crawley and Duckett.

Joe Root scored 32 runs before O'Rourke dismissed him. Harry Brook was out first ball.

Stokes and Pope put on a 52-run stand but Santner dismissed both.

Henry and Santner took the remaining wickets as England collapsed to 143, losing their last five wickets for nine runs.

Despite a 204-run lead, New Zealand didn't enforce the follow-on.

Young received a gift on the pads to start the innings. England's bowlers overcompensated on length, allowing regular boundaries.

Williamson looked fluent, scoring two boundaries at the start.

Young scored a fine 50 but fell 10 runs later. O'Rourke didn't last long but Williamson brought up his 50 in the last over of the day.
