Australia Squad for New Zealand Tour
Australian opener Georgia Voll has been added to the squad for the upcoming three-match ODI tour of New Zealand, commencing from December 19, following her stellar debut series against India.
Recent Form
Voll scored her maiden ODI century in the second game at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, following a crucial 46* in the first. She is currently the top-scorer in the series with 147 runs in two matches.
Big Bash League Performance
Voll's good form dates back to the recently concluded Women's Big Bash League where she amassed 330 runs in 12 games – the fifth highest scorer in the league – as her side, Sydney Thunder, reached the Challenger before losing to eventual runners-up Brisbane Heat.
Team Selection
Ellyse Perry had heaped praise on Voll after her maiden century on Sunday. "She's just really unflappable, and just seems to take every opportunity in her stride," Perry said. "I think that's all you can ask of any player, is to continue to push everyone around them and play the best they can and make the most of any opportunity they get.
Coaching Changes
NSW Breaker's head coach, Gavan Twining, will join the team as a full-time fielding and wicket-keeping coach for the next two years. He will link up with fellow assistant coaches – Scott Prestwidge and Dan Marsh.
