Raza, Ngarava stun Pakistan in opening ODI

Richard Ngrava scored a career-best 48 and Sikandar Raza took 2/7 as Zimbabwe beat Pakistan in the rain-marred 1st ODI in Bulawayo on Sunday.

Zimbabwe made 205 before reducing Pakistan to 60/6 when rain stopped play.

Tadiwanashe Marumani and Joylord Gumbie made a brisk start for Zimbabwe, but Gumbie was run out and Zimbabwe lost wickets quickly.

Dion Mayers and Craig Ervine departed cheaply, and Sean Williams was dismissed by Agha Salman.

Sikandar Raza and Ngrava added 62 runs for the eighth wicket to help Zimbabwe reach a respectable score.

Faisal Akram took two wickets in the 38th over to end the Zimbabwe innings.

Pakistan lost both openers early to Blessing Muzarabani.

Kamran Ghulam and Mohammad Rizwan made an assured start, but Ghulam was dismissed by Sean Williams.

Agha Salman and Haseebullah Khan were dismissed by Raza, and Irfan Khan was bowled by Williams.

Rain stopped play with Pakistan on 60/6.
