India's Dominant Win Over Australia in Perth
India romped to a massive 295-run win over Australia in Perth, outperforming the hosts in all facets of the game. The visitors' bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah, had Australia on the mat in the first innings, bowling them out for 104.
Bumrah credited the team's discipline and focus for their success, saying, "We will be nice and disciplined and we will make run-making as difficult as we can." He also praised the bowlers for finding the right lengths and not getting distracted by the extra bounce on offer on Australian decks.
The Indian team's performance was led by Bumrah, who ended the match with figures of 8 for 72 and was named Player of the Match. He was pleased with his first win as captain and praised the team's character in the face of pressure.
Bumrah also highlighted the importance of faith in one's abilities, saying, "If you have faith in your ability, you can do something special." He credited the team's 10-12 day preparation camp for their success and praised opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for his 161, which he deemed the batter's best Test hundred so far.
Australian skipper Pat Cummins was disappointed with the team's start to the series, admitting that despite good preparation, nothing seemed to go right. He felt that Australia let slip a key moment in Day 1 with the bat and lacked in other facets throughout the match.
The two teams will now face off in the pink-ball Test in Adelaide from December 6.
