Bangladesh Recall Sharmin Akhter, Jahanara Alam for Ireland ODIs

Changes in the ODI Squad

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced a 15-member team for the upcoming ODIs against Ireland, with a few changes in the squad.

Sharmin Akhter Supta and Jahanara Alam have been recalled to the ODI squad. Sharmin last played an ODI in July 2023, while Jahanara last featured in the format in May 2023.

New Face in the Squad

Taj Nehar and Shanjida Akhter Maghla are making their maiden ODI call-ups. Sazzad Ahmed, head of the national women's selection panel, said "I think Taj Nehar is a very big prospect in the middle-order, and we want to give her the opportunity to express herself in the 50-over format."
