Hobart Hurricanes opener Lizelle Lee smashes record for highest score in WBBL history

Lizelle Lee, a 32-year-old South African, put on a stunning display for Hobart Hurricanes, breaking the record for the highest score in WBBL history with an unbeaten 150 off just 75 deliveries. This performance took place in her side's comfortable win over Perth Scorchers.

The scoring was despite an early hiccup, where Hurricanes were reduced to 16/2 in just three overs. Lee's response was swift, as she smashed successive sixes in the next over to signal her intentions and bring up a 29-ball half-century.

  • Highest score in WBBL history: 150*
  • Most sixes in a single innings in women's T20 cricket: 12
  • fifth highest score in women's T20 cricket: 150*

Playing Conditions

  • Hobbled Hurricanes managed 203/3 in 20 overs
  • Scorchers unable to chase down the target, managing only 131/10 in 19.3 overs
