Bangladesh Squad Announced for Three-ODIs Against Afghanistan
Nazmul Hossain will lead the Bangladesh team in the upcoming three-ODIs against Afghanistan, after initially expressing reluctance. The left-handed batter was persuaded by BCB President Faruque Ahmed to take the mantle.

Mehidy Hasan will lead the Test squad, while the T20I squad will be led by either Taskin Ahmed or Towhid Hridoy.

The ODI squad includes Nazmul Hossain as Captain, Soumya Sarkar, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Zakir Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Tawhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali Anik, Mehidy Hassan Miraz (Vice Captain), Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, and Nahid Rana.
Notable Omissions
Shakib Al Hasan was not picked for the ODI series due to his decision to end his Test career and personal reasons. Anamul Haque, Taijul Islam, and Hasan Mahmud did not make the cut.
Absentees
Tanzim Shakib failed to recover from a shoulder injury, while Litton Kumar Das was omitted due to illness.
The team will depart for Dubai in two groups on November 2 and 3, and play the ODI series at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on November 6, 9, and 11.
