Kane Williamson to Miss Mumbai Test

Kane Williamson will miss New Zealand's third Test match against India in Mumbai. This decision has been made in order for him to be fully fit for their upcoming home series against England.

Reason for Missing the Test

Williamson was kept out of the third Test due to his ongoing groin injury rehabilitation. He has been showing good signs of recovery but not yet ready to join the team. New Zealand's head coach, Gary Stead, stated that the cautious approach will ensure Williamson is good to go for England.

England Series Importance

The England series is significant for New Zealand and is just a month away. Williamson's primary focus is to be ready for the first Test in Christchurch. New Zealand is already leading the series 2-0 and aims to complete a cleansweep to increase their chances of qualifying for the World Test championship final.
